A Couple Adventures

Be warned, there are going to be lots of pictures in this post.

Anywho, I went home last weekend. My best friend got his mission call so Friday morning Keni and packed up and headed to the good ol' Eastern Oregon.

We got there just in time to stop in at my high school for a basketball game, then head out to Austin's house for him to open it.

Any guesses??

Elder Wagstaff is going to serve in Donetsk, Ukraine. He was a little surprised. :)

So was his mom.

I'm so proud of him. He's going to be a great missionary.

And I think maybe he was meant to speak Russian. He's never been very good with English. ;)

The next day we went to Ashton's last basketball game.

It was chaos.

I loved it.

Sunday, we took Keni out on adventure to Owyhee Dam.

Can I just say how beautiful Eastern Oregon is???

Seriously though. Logan doesn't have sunsets like that.

Then there is my sister...

And Sarah...

 My friends...

Look at Hannah's teeth!! Haha she is going to kill me...

 I sure can pick them.

I love being home.

So this is what makes life divine

Poetry & A Beverage

So a couple weekends ago Keni, Becca, and I decided to be "real college students" and go to "university activities".

Whatever that means.

Anywho, Becca's brother Steve was playing (his cello) at PoBev so we decided we needed to go watch. (PoBev stands for Poetry & a Beverage, by the way.) People recite poetry (or perform music) and there are beverages (non-alcoholic, we are in Utah after all, come on people).

It was as bizarre as it sounds.

First of all, PoBev is college students trying to be all high minded and listen to poetry and other "artistic, free-minded" stuff.

But we really know that it just becomes a mating fest (not actual mating, more like the hunting stage of mating). And they all just end up talking over the poetry.

There were entirely too many people there. I do not like the people.

People. -_-

So after we waded through the masses, we found seats, and listened to poetry.

Here are a couple lines from one of the best poems, it was called 'Colors of My Love':

Grass is green
Bumblebees are halfway yellow
I hope someday I can be your fellow
...
Colors of my love

That was one of the better ones. On the plus side, Steve's song sounded really good.

Hah college is great.
